Summer 2015 in Hainan, China ONLY
The first eight (8) completed applications received by the Study Abroad Center on or by 4:30pm on Friday, January 30, 2015 will be awarded $1,000 each in scholarship funds to offset the cost of studying abroad.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0
- Applying for Summer 2015 in Hainan, China program
To apply, students submit a complete study abroad application with all the required components:
- Study Abroad Center application form
- $30 application fee
- Study statement
- Two (2) academic references
Terms and Conditions
The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded only if ALL the following terms and conditions are met:
- Students are accepted into the Summer 2015 in Hainan, China program
- Students must submit acceptance documents and participate in the Summer 2015 in Hainan, China program
- Students must complete the program; in the event that students withdraw, or are withdrawn from the program, Study Abroad Center will reclaim the $1,000 scholarship
- Students must observe the Study Abroad Center’s Standards of Behavior at all times; in the event that students violate any of the standards, Study Abroad Center will reclaim the scholarship (updated 1/12/15)
- Award cannot be applied to the $500 non-refundable initial payment that is due upon acceptance to the program
Application Period
The Study Abroad Center will begin accepting Summer 2015 study abroad applications from Monday, January 12, 2015. The eight scholarships will be awarded in the order they are received.
NO EXCEPTIONS TO ANY OF THE ABOVE CRITERIA WILL BE GRANTED
