Total Program Cost: $1,947 *   (2005 price)

* Cost includes IFALPES program fees, shared room dormitory accommodation, health insurance and UHM Study Abroad and other incidental fees. Single dorm rooms or homestay accommodations are available at an additional supplement.

Roundtrip airfare between Honolulu and Geneva is not included.  Students have the option of taking the group flight arranged by the UHM Study Abroad Center.  The cost also does not include meals, laundry, or excursions.

The above cost does not reflect personal expenses. The amount of funds to budget in this category depends on personal spending habits. This category may include entertainment expenses such as tickets for theaters, movies and museums.

Participation in the local nightlife, eating out, shopping for gifts, emergency expenses, and personal travel are also items to take into consideration.

NOTE: The above costs will fluctuate from year to year.  This program is offered every other year, so the prices here reflect the last time the program was offerred. 

FINANCIAL AID
FOR UHM STUDENTS ONLY: In order to receive financial aid for the summer study abroad program, please ensure that either: a) you are receiving financial aid during the spring semester, or b) that you complete the Financial Aid application during the spring semester.
